One Nation leader Pauline Hanson says the ABC needs to be "pulled into line", accusing the public broadcaster of unbalanced reporting.

Senator Hanson's party colleague Brian Burston used his first speech in federal parliament on Tuesday to call for funding to be stripped from the ABC, claiming it had been subject of a cultural Marxist takeover.

He suggested the money be put toward a new public broadcaster called the Patriotic Broadcasting Corporation representing mainstream Australia.

Senator Hanson agrees.

"The ABC does need to be pulled into line," she told reporters in Canberra on Wednesday.

"It is a broadcasting network for the whole of Australia. I'd like to see a more balanced view with regards to their reporting.

"I can tell you I've been on Q&A myself and I've got a bit of a bashing around the ears."

Australia had people from all different cultural backgrounds and wanted that diversity represented, Senator Hanson said.

"Not just leaning towards one organisation or a left view," she said.

"I think there should be a balance and I don't see that coming across in the ABC."
