ABL's Bandits walk off Blue Sox

Ladder leaders Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth have come away with Saturday night wins in round 12 of the Australian Baseball League.

Brisbane have walked off the Sydney Blue Sox 8-7 in 11 innings to maintain their run at the top of the Australian Baseball League.

The first-placed Bandits fell behind early at Brisbane's AFA Stadium on Saturday night but ground out run after run to get ahead.

The final blow in the third match-up of the four-game series came from Tampa Bay Rays prospect Bralin Jackson, who sent a one-out bases-loaded knock off the wall.

"I could tell there were a lot of emotions tonight and I knew how bad we really wanted to win this game," he said.

"I'm just glad that we could. It's been a lot of fun here."

The game-winning hit was the outfielder's second of the night, adding to his ninth double of the season in the fifth inning.

After Sydney got out to a three-run lead just three batters in, the Bandits answered with one in the third before plating five in the fifth and adding one more in the sixth.

Brisbane Shortstop Riley Unroe had three hits, including his eighth two-base knock of the year.

Adelaide fought back from an early deficit against Melbourne but came home with ease to win 7-2.

John Schultz and Landon Hernandez mashed three hits and two RBIs each as the Bite (24-23) edged the Aces (17-30) in hits, 9-8 at Coopers Stadium in Norwood.

The win keeps Adelaide in third spot ahead of Sunday's final game of the series and in a strong position for finals with two series remaining.

Perth returned to the winner's circle after a four-run fifth inning set up a 7-3 home victory over the second placed Canberra Cavalry.

Nick Veale got the start for the Heat and struggled at times with his control, walking six, but had the determination to stay focused in crucial parts of the game.

Canberra got on the scoreboard first in the third courtesy of a Jack Murphy double. They took the advantage to 3-1 at one stage but from there on, Perth's bats got hot.
