A vigil has been held in Canberra to remember the Aboriginal lives lost in clashes with British settlers.

A vigil has been held in Canberra to commemorate the lives lost during clashes between Aboriginal people and British settlers.

 

The annual event is held just after sunset on the eve of ANZAC Day on the lawns of the Aboriginal Memorial Grove.

 

Aunty Jude Kelly, who officiated at the ceremony, told Biwa Kwan about its significance.
