Fire crews have dealt with about 10 grass fires throughout South Australia on a day when a catastrophic danger rating had been declared for the West Coast district.
Country Fire Service spokeswoman Connie Hassouros said crews contained the fires quickly and there were none of concern in the West Coast district.
Total fire bans had been declared in seven fire districts as the state experienced temperatures in the 30s on Wednesday.
"Severe" fire bans have been declared for Thursday in three regions - the Northwest Pastoral, the Northeast Pastoral and Flinders.
