ACCC takes Heinz to court over kids' food

Heinz has been falesly marketing their Little Kids Shredz products for toddlers as healthy when they're not, says the consumer watchdog.

Australia's consumer watchdog is taking Heinz to court saying it's misleading parents about the nutritional value of their products for toddlers.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has started proceedings in the Federal Court against H.J. Heinz Company Australia Ltd in relation to its Little Kids Shredz products.

It alleges Heinz is falsely marketing these products, which contain over 60 per cent sugar, as healthy options for young children when they are not.
