Accused Adelaide rapist to stand trial

An Adelaide man will stand trial over the alleged rape and attempted rape of multiple women.

An Adelaide man accused of raping and attempting to rape several women over a six-year period is to stand trial.

The 57-year-old is facing one rape charge and four counts of assault with intent to commit rape in separate incidents in North Adelaide between 2005 and 2011.

The man, from Enfield, pleaded not guilty to the charges when he appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates court on Thursday.

A suppression order on his name will be lifted after seven days, the court heard.

He has been remanded in custody to appear in the District Court on December 2.
