Accused NSW scout leader remains on bail

A scout leader accused of molesting a 10-year-old boy on a cubs camp will remain on bail until returning to a Sydney court in October.

A scout leader accused of indecently assaulting a 10-year-old boy during a Cubs camp will remain on bail until he fronts a Sydney court again in October.

Mark Keith McEnallay, 54, appeared in Hornsby Local Court on Wednesday on allegations he molested the boy during the camp at a NSW location in June 2012.

He was granted conditional bail after being charged in August and this was continued by Magistrate Alison Viney.

However the magistrate relaxed his bail conditions, ordering him to report to police once a week as opposed to twice weekly under previous requirements.

McEnallay, from Mosman on Sydney's north shore, was also ordered to surrender his passport.

He was arrested following a two month investigation by detectives from the Child Abuse Squad, launched when the boy and his father made a complaint in June.

McEnallay is due before the Downing Centre Local Court on October 16.
