Aconex makes $96m Europe acquisition

Software maker Aconex will raise $120m after buying a Germany-based software firm to expand its presence in Europe.

Construction software maker Aconex will acquire Germany-based software firm Conject Holding GmbH for 65 million euros ($A96.63 million), to boost its presence in Europe.

The company launched an institutional share placement on Thursday to raise $120 million to fund the acquisition.

Aconex shares, which closed at $5.37 on Wednesday, were placed in a trading halt ahead of the capital raising.

They have been among the top performers over the past 12 months, nearly trebling in value, and will be added to the benchmark ASX 200 index from Friday.
