ACOSS hopes for May budget

The Australian Council of Social Service says the May budget should help close the worst gaps in economic and social infrastructure.

It's three months out from the Abbott Government's first Budget, but the positioning from various interest groups is getting into full swing.

 

The Australian Industry Group is warning now that the budget should be restored by cutting government spending rather than further increases in overall taxes.

 

The Chief Executive of the Australian Council of Social Service, Cassandra Goldie told Ron Sutton that any changes need to help close the worst gaps in Australia's economic and social infrastructure.
