The ACT will make it mandatory for disability support workers and in-home and community aged care workers to be fully vaccinated by 29 November.
They will need to have at least one dose by 1 November.
Almost nine out of 10 NDIS screened disability workers had at least one jab as of October 14, and just under eight in 10 were fully vaccinated.
ACT Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith said the vaccination rate was likely higher, with there being no requirement for workers in the sector to disclose their vaccine status to their employer.
The ACT government is also considering whether jabs should be mandatory for prison workers.
The ACT recorded 24 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing to total number of cases during the current outbreak to more than 1,500.
Twenty cases are in hospital, with eight in intensive care.
Seven of the new cases are unlinked.
The ACT now has 82 per cent of its population above the age of 12 fully vaccinated.
The national capital surpassed the 70 per cent fully vaccinated milestone for people over the age of 16 on the same day.
