Academy Award-winning actress Reese Witherspoon has announced she is engaged to Hollywood agent Jim Toth, a spokesperson says.
Witherspoon and Toth have been dating since February this year, shortly after the she and fellow actor Jake Gyllenhaal ended a long-term relationship.
The actress won an Oscar for her portrayal of country music legend June Carter Cash in the 2005 biopic, Walk the Line.

However, she's most easily recognised as the blonde bimbo-turned star lawyer Elle Woods in the Legally Blonde films.
Witherspoon had previously been married to actor Ryan Phillippe, with whom she stared in Cruel Intentions in 1999. The pair have two children, a daughter Ava and son Deacon.
