A British actress has won a family court fight London with her former Australian partner over their child.
Deputy High Court Judge Alex Verdan was told the actress, who worked for the BBC, brought the child back to Britain after a trip to Australia earlier this year.
The man argued that the child habitually resides in Australia, where he also lives, and his ex-partner was wrong to take the child back to the UK.
Judge Verdan, who presided over a two day private hearing in the Family Division of the High Court in London, concluded on Thursday that the child was not wrongfully removed from Australia by the actress.
Judge Verdan will detail reasons for his decision in the near future.
