Adelaide 36ers coach Joey Wright says the club is not taking any risks by bringing star import Jerome Randle back from a knee injury for the club's crunch NBL games.
Randle, the league's leading scorer, passed a fitness test at training on Wednesday and will fly with teammates for Adelaide's season-ending away matches against the Illawarra Hawks on Friday night and the Perth Wildcats on Sunday.
"We wouldn't risk it," Wright told AAP.
"He's fine. He's followed the doctor's orders, he's worked really hard to get back out there. He's ready to go."
The 36ers have lost their past two matches without the league's likely MVP to slip into an intense battle with the New Zealand Breakers for the final playoffs spot.
Both are level with a 14-12 record, but the Breakers are higher ranked in fourth spot with a marginally better percentage than the 36ers.
The Breakers face the ladder-leading Melbourne United in each of their last two games, however Melbourne now have the luxury of being able to rest players with the top spot on the ladder already assured.
Not that the 36ers are concerned with what tactics other finals bound teams are implementing.
"We just need to win our games," he said.
"There's no point focusing a lot of our attention on what other teams are doing. We hold our fate in our hands.
"We need to go out to play to win."
The Perth Wildcats rested four players in their shock 26-point thrashing at the hands of the Sydney Kings on Wednesday night, ruling them out of the minor premiership race.
The result does have some silver linings for Perth though.
Finishing second means the Wildcats will avoid being forced to undertake the massive trip from Perth to New Zealand for a match if the Breakers are to make the best-of-three semi-final series.
They will also more than likely face the Hawks in the semi-finals, a team they have beaten four times this year, as opposed to the Breakers who they hold a 2-2 record with.
