Adelaide gunman arrested after siege

Police have arrested a gunman after he killed two men and a woman, injured a teenage boy and shot a policemen in the face after a siege in Adelaide.

A gunman has been arrested in Adelaide following a siege where two men and a woman died, and three people injured including a police officer who was shot in the face.

Police had been negotiating with the man who was alone in a house surrounded by officers in suburban Hectorville.

A teenage boy wounded in the siege is being treated for serious injuries in hospital.

A second police officer was treated for a knee injury and has been released from hospital.

Officers went to the house about 2.30 (CST) this morning after a triple zero call which reported shots being fired.

It is understood police at the scene returned fire after being fired on by the gunman.
