A 55-year-old Adelaide woman has been admitted to hospital in a stable condition with meningococcal disease.
SA Health says a number of people have been in close contact with the woman but only one will be given a course of antibiotics as a precaution.
There have been 34 meningococcal cases in SA this year compared to 35 at this time last year.
Of those 27 have been confirmed as the B strain, four the W strain and three the Y strain.
