An Instagram video of three-year-old Australian Shepherd Secret has been viewed almost 200,000 times since it was uploaded a week ago.
Secret the dog was openly pleased that Sioux City in northwest Iowa was blanketed with enough snow to go dog-sledding.
The video, uploaded by her teen owner Mary shows Secret dragging the sled to the top of a slope, before jumping on and sliding all the way back down.
When the pup is done she drags it back up for round two.
"We finally got enough snow to really sled yesterday and Secret couldn't be more thrilled!" Mary wrote in the caption.
"It's definitely one of her favourite activities, she probably went down this hill 50 times today."
A 'bomb cyclone' has sent heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures across the US forcing the cancellation of flights and thousands of snowplows sent out to clear roads.
Many daily temperature records may be broken, according to the National Weather Service.
Parts of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Vermont and Virginia got more than a foot (30 centimeters) of snow, according to NWS data.
The cold wave has also extended the length of the US east coast. In usually balmy Florida, iguanas were reported to be falling out of trees.
Experts urged the public not to worry, as it was more likely the iguanas were 'cold-stunned' rather than dead.
