AFL looks into Fasolo incident

Collingwood forward Alex Fasolo is under AFL investigation for allegedly urinating into a cup during last Friday night's pre-season game.

Collingwood forward Alex Fasolo is under AFL investigation after he appeared to urinate into a cup during Friday night's pre-season game against Geelong.

TV footage from the second quarter showed Fasolo covering himself with a towel as he went to great lengths to be discreet on the interchange bench.

The redevelopment of Simonds Stadium meant Collingwood's changerooms were on the other side of the ground to the bench.

The AFL website reported that Collingwood had access to Geelong's VFL changerooms, located in a forward pocket, but the Magpies apparently were unsure whether they had access.

Rugby league's Russell Packer was caught relieving himself in his shorts, on the field, during a 2013 NRL game.

Packer was fined $15,000 for the indiscretion.

Former Hawthorn forward Mark Williams was reported for misconduct in 2008 after relieving himself before the start of a VFL match.

Fasolo booted five goals to go with 19 disposals and seven marks in the win over Geelong.

The AFL could announce the investigation findings as early as Tuesday morning.

Under AFL rules, players cannot urinate anywhere but in a toilet before, during or immediately after games.
