North Melbourne utility Taylor Garner is in strife, with the AFL club confirming it is investigating an alleged weekend incident at a Sydney nightspot.

Garner will front North hierarchy on Tuesday and it is understood that regardless of what happened in Sydney, he is already in trouble for not reporting the matter immediately.

There is an unconfirmed media report that a man's nose was broken in a fight at the nightspot.

"North Melbourne is aware of an alleged incident involving Taylor Garner which occurred in Sydney on the weekend," the Kangaroos said in a statement.

"The club is investigating the matter and will make no further comment at this stage."
