AFL's Lou Richards farewelled in Melbourne

The state funeral of AFL great Lou Richards will be held in Melbourne at St Paul's Cathedral.

Victoria is set to celebrate the life of AFL great Lou Richards at a state funeral in Melbourne.

Richards died in a Melbourne nursing home last week aged 94 after a long and celebrated career as a footballer and media figure.

His family accepted Premier Daniel Andrews' offer of a public farewell, with a funeral to be held at St Paul's Cathedral on Wednesday at 11am.
