Port Adelaide's Jack Watts denies a video that has surfaced shows the AFL player snorting cocaine.
The Power have spoken to Watts after the video emerged.
In the video, Watts is seen snorting powder off a woman's chest.
"Watts has informed the club that the video was taken at Oktoberfest in Munich last October and the substance featured is 'Wiesn Pulver', a legal substance made up of menthol, sugar and glucose," the Power said in a statement.
They added that the AFL is aware of the video, which was filmed in a crowded hall at the festival.
Watt's manager Paul Connors also told media that the substance is "not cocaine".
Wiesn Pulver, or powder, is also known as Wiesn Koks, or Oktoberfest cocaine.
It is a legal substance and used at the beer festival as a pick-me-up.
Watts, the 2008, No.1 draft pick, played 153 games for Melbourne before switching to Port.
He played 19 matches last season for the Power.
