Agriculture minister heads to China

Live animal exports will be on the agenda when Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce visits China.

Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce will head to China this week to discuss trade.

Australian exporters last month delivered the first shipment of live cattle to China under a health protocol signed in July.

Mr Joyce told parliament on Monday he was also keen to promote sheep exports, which would benefit from the China, Japan and Korea trade agreements.
