Ainsworth shares down as developer departs

Ainsworth Game Technology's top strategist and developer Scott Clarebrough is leaving the company, with the news pushing the shares down nine per cent.

Shares in poker machines supplier Ainsworth Game Technology have fallen almost nine per cent after news the company's top developer and strategist has resigned.

Ainsworth said the group's general manager of strategy and development, Scott Clarebrough, had provided leadership to a team of game designers and product development engineers and the company was well placed to deliver new products after recruiting new game designers.

"The development and planning to further strengthen Ainsworth's proposed US-based creative team will assist the company to build a sustainable, profitable and growing business in the large American markets," Ainsworth's Danny Gladstone said in a statement on Wednesday.

Shares in Ainsworth Game Technology were 25 cents, or 9.5 per cent, lower at $2.39 at 1215 AEDT.
