A prominent Queensland businessman says he's considering legal action against shock jock Alan Jones for trying to blame him and his family for devastating flooding that claimed 12 lives.

Denis Wagner says the Grantham Flood Commission of Inquiry's report handed down on Thursday categorically disproves Mr Jones' repeated on-air claims that a quarry he owned worsened the disaster in the small southeast Queensland town on January 10, 2011.

"This report clearly proves that what Alan Jones has been saying has not been truthful and we are considering all our options in that regard," Mr Wagner told AAP.

Comment is being sought from Mr Jones.
