All eyes on infrastructure in Qld budget

Infrastructure spending is the focus of the Queensland government's budget this year.

Who said what about Queensland's budget:

"We make no apologies for borrowing to invest in infrastructure. It's the right thing for jobs today but it's also critical for our economic productivity in the future." - Queensland Treasurer Jackie Trad.

"Debt is stable, it is sustainable and it is responsibly funding much needed infrastructure for our communities and for our economy." -- Ms Trad.

"We live in a very big state, it's about five times the size of Japan, and we have to build the infrastructure for our growing state." -- Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk

"The only infrastructure crisis has been created by a Labor government." -- Liberal National Party leader Deb Frecklington.

"This is a budget of broken dreams and broken promises for the next generation." -- Ms Frecklington.

"We can see in the budget that coal prices and dividends have delivered a sugar hit for the 2017/18 budget surplus." -- Dr Pradeep Philip, Deloitte Access Economics
