Two alleged associates of the Black Ulhans criminal motorcycle gang have been charged with extorting money from two people living north of Brisbane.

Queensland detectives allege a man and a woman were subject to extortion with threats of violence between August and November.

The extortion allegedly involved the payment of a substantial amount of money.

On Wednesday a 41-year-old Narangba man was charged with two counts of extortion, four counts of stalking and one count of common assault, while a 36-year-old Deception Bay man was charged with one count each of stalking and common assault.

They are both due to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on Thursday.
