A man is expected to face court charged over the alleged coward-punch of a woman who had refused him entry to a Queensland pub.
Melissa Abdoo suffered critical injuries when she was knocked to the ground early on Saturday outside the Mount Isa pub where she works.
Police allege a man tried to punch the woman in the head outside Buffs Club, but missed and his momentum carried himself into her.
They say the attack was unprovoked.
A 28-year-old local man is due to appear in the Mount Isa Magistrates Court on Monday charged with causing grievous bodily harm.

Ms Abdoo's condition has improved, with Townsville hospital staff saying she was listed as stable on Sunday.
