The alleged killer of Alice Springs mother Karlie Pearce-Stevenson has had his case mentioned briefly in a Sydney court.

Daniel James Holdom, 41, was last month charged with the murder of Ms Pearce-Stevenson, whose remains were found dumped in the notorious Belanglo State Forest south of Sydney.

Holdom did not appear at the Central Local Court when the matter was mentioned and he's due to appear in court via videolink on January 28.

No one has been charged over her daughter Khandalyce Pearce's murder.

Her remains were discovered in a suitcase on the side of a South Australian highway.
