Alleged robbers hit Louis Vuitton store

Three men who allegedly broke into Sydney's George St Louis Vuitton store will face court.

Police have praised the quick response of officers after three men allegedly used hammers to break into a Louis Vuitton store in Sydney's CBD and make off with designer bags.

The trio were charged with aggravated break, enter and steal after being found in a basement carpark.

They are scheduled to appear before Central Local Court on Thursday.

Police were alerted to the robbery just after midnight on Thursday when the men, aged 32, 19 and 18 tripped several alarms.

Officers found the men in a basement car park on George Street after an hour-long search.

The men had tried to steal a getaway car before they were nabbed, police say.

A stolen Audi was also found outside the store.

Detective Inspector Simon Jones from The Rocks local command, praised what he said was great police work.

"We're excited the work that they did last night has resulted in, as I said, a quick arrest but ultimately putting three accused persons before the court fairly promptly."

He said at this stage police weren't liking Thursday's break-in to a ram raid at the same store in February.
