A US military reservist has been arrested as he tried to travel to fight for Islamic State jihadists, along with a cousin planning to carry out attacks on military installations.
22-year-old Army National Guard soldier Hasan Edmonds was detained at Chicago Midway International Airport on Wednesday as he attempted to fly to Egypt.
His 29-year-old cousin Jonas Edmonds was arrested at his home at the same time.
The pair were captured after unwittingly revealing their plans to an undercover FBI agent.
