Allianz Stadium feels like home: Bennett

Wayne Bennett says Allianz Stadium will feel just like home for Brisbane in the Broncos' NRL qualifying final against Sydney Roosters.

For Wayne Bennett, there's no place like home - or it seems, Allianz Stadium.

Brisbane might have missed out on hosting Friday night's NRL qualifying final with Sydney Roosters but Bennett said Allianz Stadium would feel just like home.

The Roosters are favourites to topple an injury-hit Broncos after winning their last four games against Bennett's team at the Sydney venue.

Bennett, however, claims Brisbane have no fear of travelling to Allianz Stadium, describing it as a home away from home.

"There are a few grounds around the country that I would prefer not to be at and Allianz is not one of them," he said.

"It's a place where I have won a lot of Tests, a lot of Origins coaching Queensland, big games for the Broncos.

"It's a great venue. It's typical of (Broncos homeground) Suncorp (Stadium).

"It's got a great footy environment. It makes you feel like playing football."

The Roosters have not lost to Brisbane at Allianz Stadium since 2012.

They won nine of their 10 home matches at the venue this season, including their past eight.

The Tricolours have also won 14 of their last 17 finals matches at Allianz Stadium.

Yet Bennett said the Roosters held no fears for Brisbane either.

"We have been a good footy team. There is nothing they will throw at us tomorrow that we can't handle," he said.
