ALP vows clinic for Bribie Island in Qld

Labor says it will fund the construction of a clinic on Queensland's Bribie Island if it wins the next federal election.

Labor is promising to build a care clinic on Queensland's Bribie Island if the party wins the next federal election.

The ALP says it will allocate $17 million for the clinic which would treat people with urgent but not life-threatening conditions so they are not forced to travel for up to an hour to be treated in Caboolture.

Bribie Island belongs to the federal electorate of Longman, where Susan Lamb is the Labor candidate for the by-election on July 28.
