Only two weeks after H&M apologised over a hoodie that was deemed "insensitive" by consumers, Amazon has pulled products from third-party sellers after a slogan offended buyers.

Amazon told Reuters that the products with the slogan: "Slavery gets s**t done" were no longer available.

“All Marketplace sellers must follow our selling guidelines and those who don’t will be subject to action including potential removal of their account,” an Amazon spokesman said in a statement. “The products in question are no longer available.”

While the slavery-themed products are no longer available to buy on Amazon’s UK website, bags bearing the slogan were still on sale on the US-based Amazon.com on Monday, according to Reuters.

As of Wednesday, they appear to have been removed.

Social media users posted photos of the products, ranging from t-shirts, bibs and bags, questioning Amazon's reasons for selling them.
Anti-Slavery International also hit out at the slogan claiming the T-shirts that were sold on Amazon were "absolutely shocking".
The United Nations estimated there were still 40 million people around the world subject to slavery - forced labour and forced marriage - in 2016.
