Amcor buys Canadian plastics firm for $32m

Amcor has paid $31.7 million for Toronto-based container manufacturer Plastic Moulders and its new moulding and labelling technology.

Packaging giant Amcor has continued its expansion in the Americas by paying $31.7 million for Toronto-based container manufacturer Plastic Moulders.

Amcor says the business has annual sales of about $C35 million ($A36.9 million) and possesses new moulding and labelling technology.

The acquisition comes less than a month after Amcor agreed to buy South America-based flexible packaging business Alusa for about $A570 million.
