Amcor buys Colombian packaging plant

Packaging giant Amcor has acquired Colombian specialty container business Plasticos Team, expanding its presence in the South American country.

Packaging giant Amcor has acquired Colombian specialty container business Plasticos Team SAS for an undisclosed sum.

Plasticos Team operates one stand alone facility in Guachene, close to one of Amcor's three existing packaging plants in Colombia, and has annual sales of $US13 million ($A17 million).

The local company will continue an exclusive long-term supply agreement with previous owner Team Foods Colombia SA and also supply to other customers in the food, beverage and home care segments, Amcor said.
