Human rights group Amnesty International is urging international attention to violence being perpetrated against civilians in Nigeria's north-east.

The call comes after two deadly attacks in Yobe state in which suspected child suicide bombers were used.

Separately, armed Boko Haram militants are believed to be behind the massacre of up to 2,000 people in the town of Baga in neighbouring Borno state.

Diana Sayed is with Amnesty International Australia.

She's told Rhiannon Elston there is cause for global action.
