International rights group Amnesty is calling for Saudi Arabia to be suspended from the United Nations Human Rights Council.

Amnesty seeks Saudi Arabia's suspension from UN Rights Council

Amnesty International accuses Saudi Arabia of carrying out human rights violations in Yemen, including killing civilians.

A Saudi-led coalition began an air campaign in Yemen in March last year to defeat Iran-allied Houthi rebels.

Saudi Arabia is in its final year of a three-year term on the 47-member Human Rights Council.

Amnesty spokeswoman Ella Knight is speaking to Santilla Chingaipe.
