AMP director Geoff Roberts will retire from the company board after next month's annual general meeting to focus on his full-time role as chief financial officer of online job advertiser Seek.
Mr Roberts, a former managing partner of Deloitte Victoria, and CFO of AXA Asia Pacific, has been on the wealth manager's board and head of its audit committee since 2016.
Andrea Slattery will replace Mr Roberts as chairman of the AMP and AMP Bank audit committees.
AMP last week announced it had scrapped short-term cash bonuses and cut directors' fees in an effort to avoid a second shareholder strike on remuneration at the May 2 AGM.
Almost two thirds of shareholders voted against AMP's remuneration report last year, leaving the troubled firm open to a possible board spill next month.
