An Australian amputee riding his bike 10,000km from Vietnam to Australia has arrived in Perth ahead of his final journey.
Vietnam veteran Laurie "Truck" Sams is on a six-month "long ride home", raising money for veteran suicide and PTSD.
A sufferer of PTSD himself, Truck hopes to inspire others to seek help.
"I've been down that dark tunnel and the experience made me want to help others who've had to deal with trauma-related injury - not just soldiers but police, firies, ambos, nurses and other emergency workers as well," he said.
Riding through the jungles and fields of Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, the 66-year-old has covered 5830km in 73 days.

All while cycling with a prosthetic leg.
An 11-time Australian champion skydiver, Truck lost his left leg below the knee in a parachute accident in 1995.
He received the Star of Courage bravery award for saving the life of his tandem skydiving partner in the 1995 accident.
He learnt to walk with the prosthetic leg and began a series of trekking and cycling expeditions around Southeast Asia, something that helped him deal with his PTSD.
After landing in Perth on Saturday, Truck is fixing his battered bike before he tackles another 5000km to reach Sydney.
He will travel across the Nullarbor in September and ride to Canberra for Remembrance Day on November 11, hoping to present the Australian flag to the prime minister.
From May 12 when he began his journey, Truck has raised more than $33,000 for injured veterans.
