Anglican institutions join redress scheme

Ten Anglican organisations have joined the national redress scheme for victims of child sexual abuse, Minister for Families Paul Fletcher has announced.

The first group of Anglican institutions have signed up to the national redress scheme for victims of child sexual abuse.

Four churches, four Anglican organisations and two schools have joined the scheme, Minister for Families Paul Fletcher announced on Friday.

"Ten Anglican organisations have now finalised their arrangements, allowing claims from people who experienced child sexual abuse in these institutions to proceed", Mr Fletcher said.
