Another quake strikes off Indon's Sumbawa

A second earthquake has hit the Indonesian town of Raba on the same day, this one stronger than the first.

An earthquake of magnitude 6.6 has struck south of the Indonesian town of Raba, off the central island of Sumbawa, the second quake to hit the area in one day.

The US Geological Survey says there is no immediate tsunami warning or reports of damage or casualties from the quake, which hit at a depth of 36 km on Tuesday, at a distance of about 230 km south of Raba in the east of the island.

The quake followed one of magnitude 6 that struck in the same area earlier in the day.
