Another schoolie bashed on Gold Coast

A teenager who tried to intervene in a fight on the last night of Queensland Schoolies on the Gold Coast has a head injury after being bashed.

A 16-year-old boy has a head injury after being bashed on the last night Queensland Schoolies week on the Gold Coast.

The teenager tried to intervene in a fight on Cavill Ave, Surfers Paradise, about 8.40pm (AEST) on Friday.

He was punched in the head by another male, causing him to fall over.

A second male then kicked the teenager in the head and torso while he was lying on the ground.

He was rushed to hospital where he is being treated for a head injury.

Two males are currently assisting police with their investigation.

Earlier on Friday a 17-year-old school leaver also suffered a serious head injury after he was king hit in an unprovoked attack.

Police are still looking for his attackers.
