Up to 1.6 million litres of Illegally dumped toxic waste has been discovered at another location in Melbourne's north.
The outdoor site at Campbellfield was initially found during joint inspections earlier this year but recent inspections revealed a significant amount of dangerous goods, WorkSafe Victoria said.
"While the exact quantity of waste chemicals at the latest site is unknown, preliminary calculations indicate that there is potential to store up to 1.6 million litres at the site," it said in a statement on Saturday.
"Security has been maintained and plans have been put in place to manage potential fire risks, consistent with the approach of the taskforce at other sites," it said in a statement on Saturday.
The site was initially believed to have mostly industrial waste before the toxic chemical haul was found.
"It was assessed at the time as containing industrial waste, including combustible material," an Environment Protection Authority spokesman said.
"Given its location, the physical barriers to access and remoteness from external sites, EPA was able to ensure ongoing site safety with 24/7 security in place while other priority sites in need of a more immediate response were attended to," he said.
However after the recent inspection revealed the dangerous chemicals WorkSafe now has control of the site.
There is 24-hour security on the property.
It has been reported the site is linked to Graham Leslie White, who has been connected to the West Footscray factory where an industrial blaze broke out in August last year.
