New anti-gang legislation and a bill to remove 17-year-olds from Queensland's adult jails will be introduced when parliament resumes on Tuesday.
Attorney-General Yvette D'Ath will lodge Labor's bill to change the LNP's anti-bikie laws, which includes a NSW-style consorting offence in line with the recommendations of a task force that reviewed existing legal frameworks.
The removal of 17-year-olds from the state's adult prisons within a year follows a promise by Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, whose cabinet has endorsed a youth justice review, to look into the practices, operation and oversight of Queensland's youth detention centres.
The process to remove 17-year-olds from the adult justice system will start with the introduction of a bill during this week's three-day sitting of parliament.
Queensland is the only state to sentence children into the adult system and there are close to 50 17-year-olds in the system.
