War graves will be spruced up and events staged across the world, at a cost of 83.5 million dollars, to mark Australia's Anzac Centenary.
Prime Minister Julia Gillard announced the funding package in Singapore, before heading to Gallipoli for her first Anzac commemorative service there as leader.
She says the Centenary of Anzac will be a time for profound reflection on events that helped define the Aussie character and the way Australians see themselves in the world.
The Anzac Centenary, to run from 2014 to 2018, will mark 100 years since the Gallipoli landings and major Western Front battles.
