An AOL creative director was given the boot in a very public way, when he was fired over a conference call.

Over 1000 employees were listening in when AOL CEO Tim Armstrong told creative director Abel Lenz: "You're fired. Out."

CNN reports that the conference call was set up to lay out company lay-offs and cut backs, but when Lenz tried to take a photo of his now former CEO he got an abrupt send off.
