Comedian and former ABC presenter, Lawrence Mooney, has tweeted his outrage at a journalist for her review of his Adelaide Fringe show on Sunday.

Isabella Fowler, a journalist for The Adelaide Advertiser, gave Mooney an overall postive review, but called Mooney "just a funny guy"  instead of a seasoned comedian.

Mooney took to Twitter to show his indignation at the reviewer's comment, attacking Fowler with a series of critical tweets.

Fowler responded to the attack with "It's my opinion m8 #sorryboutit."

Mooney's attack continued in a long string of tweets, with attacks on Fowler's intelligence and professional ability.

Fowler said Mooney needed to "calm down" and hoped he felt "like a big man" for attacking her.

Later Mooney's anger appeared to lessen after the ourburst.

Though Mooney has faced mostly backlash and ridicule for his behaviour, KIIS FM breakfast host, Kate Langbroek, defended Mooney calling him "one of the funniest people ever".

Still, Langbroek's support is outweighed by the negative reactions towards Mooney's treatment of Fowler.
