Asofa-Solomona out of Anzac Test for Kiwis

New Zealand prop Nelson Asofa-Solomona has been ruled out of the Anzac Test against Australia in Canberra with injury.

Melbourne prop Nelson Asofa-Solomona has been ruled out of New Zealand's Test match against Australia on Friday due to a broken hand.

The uncapped 21-year-old suffered the injury in the Storm's NRL win over St George Illawarra on Sunday and he'll miss the Anzac Test against the Kangaroos in Canberra.

Wests Tigers lock Elijah Taylor, who has played 10 Tests, has been called up as a replacement to the 20-man New Zealand squad.

Asofa-Solomona was set to make his Test debut on the bench for the David Kidwell-coached Kiwis.

But he will instead spend at least the next two weeks on the sidelines and is expected to miss top-of-the-table Storm's NRL games against the Gold Coast and South Sydney.

Taylor, 27, is in line to play his first Test since the 2013 World Cup final loss to Australia after finding form for the struggling Tigers this season.

He was named in an extended Four Nations squad last year before failing to make the cut.
