Auction of 1893 Levi's jeans delayed

Technical glitches have prevented the auction of a pair of Levi's jeans in pristine condition purchased in 1893 in the Arizona Territory.

A 123-year-old pair of blue jeans potentially worth tens of thousands of dollars is still awaiting a new owner.

Technical glitches on Saturday prevented the auction of the Levi's jeans purchased in 1893 in the Arizona Territory.

Daniel Buck Auctions & Appraisals in Lisbon Falls, Maine, says the jeans are in pristine condition because they were worn only a few times before being stored for decades in a trunk.

The original owner was a big fella. The cotton jeans with button fly feature a size 44-inch (112cm) waist and 36-inch (91cm) inseam.
