Augmented reality gains traction

Augmented reality apps are gaining traction on smart phones - but some critics say they're a passing fad, and won;t change the world.

Proponents say that augmented reality applications on mobile phones - which have the ability to overlay information and footage in realtime, over an image of the phone's surroundings - will change the way we react with the world.

But critics say until they really change our world for the better, they'll just be another fad.
