Australians Mitch Larkin and Emily Seebohm have asserted their dominance in the backstroke at the FINA World Cup in Doha, winning all six finals.
Larkin has won five golds and one silver in the six backstroke events he has entered this year since returning to the World Cup in the third last leg, while Seebohm has now claimed 14 gold medals and five silvers this year.
Following on from his Commonwealth record-breaking gold in the 100-metre freestyle on Monday, Larkin backed it up with a four-second victory in the 200-metre event on Tuesday.
The closest his dominance came to being broken was in the 50-metre sprint. Trailing for the majority of the race, a last-second lunge for the wall saw him tie for equal first with America's David Plummer in 24.70.
Seebohm, meanwhile, claimed her sixth gold medal in the space of a week.
After clean-sweeping the backstroke finals in Tokyo last week, Seebohm backed up her wins in the 50-metre and 200-metre on Monday by beating the field in the 100-metre race on the final day of competition.
Sprinter Melanie Wright collected Australia's seventh gold medal of the penultimate World Cup leg, winning the 100-metre freestyle before finishing fifth in the 50-metre butterfly.
Wright's husband Chris claimed his second bronze medal of the meet in the 100-metre butterfly, while Leiston Pickett also finished third in the women's 50-metre breaststroke final.
The last stop of the FINA World Cup is in Dubai beginning on Friday.
